Project Run and Play - Peter Pan Perfection

I am completely obsessed with Peter Pan Collars. I rock the look whenever possible and hope that this classic trend sticks around for a while. I love classic clean lines, and stripes and polka dots pretty much sum up my personality. I created this dress with a pattern I drafted with the addition of a peter pan collar I adapted from a Simplicity pattern. I am working on a pair of polka dot jean shorts that I am hand dotting. but life got in way and needed to take a back seat. My six year old looks adorable in the top and fits perfectly. Most importantly she loves it.  I am hoping to spin an entire spring line for her. We shall see what comes of it. This is my first entry for Project Run and Play and hope to create many more looks!

  1. My life got in the way too and I didn't get a chance to finish even the first part of my Polkadot/stripe look in time to post it. But at least I got a really good start on it! I love how yours turned out & it inspires me to try a peter pan collar sometime. So glad you posted!

    1. I got caught up between tiny dots and 1/2 dots and just couldn't decide in time. I will post them when they are completed hopefully sometime in the next few days.

  5. I feel like I'm getting by in the sew along by the skin of my teeth!!! My designs aren't that complicated though. If I were competing I would have no idea how I could function with everyday life!!! Seems like you have to have 3 hand made pieces each week! :) Maybe one day I'll have that kind of time! I'm with you and love the peter pan collars! I did a Maia dress by Peekaboo patterns for her Holiday blog tour that is oh so cute! :)

I hope you'll blog more pictures of the pants and your daughter wearing them!!! They sound adorable!
